COCA is a next-generation challenger bank that pays you back. Earn market-leading interest on your balance and get cashback on popular subscriptions – all in one modern banking experience:

* A clean, simple app
* A Visa card you can use online and in-store worldwide
* IBAN with international transfers, card-to-card payments
* Highest rewards and APY on your balance
* Funds under your control

Under the hood, COCA is **not a traditional bank**. Think of a challenger banks (like Revolut, N26, or Nubank), but powered by a smarter, more efficient infrastructure behind the scenes.

**Why is COCA a game changer?** The funds stay under your control.

> **The result?** A better, safer, more rewarding way to manage your money.

### Why choose COCA?

**Feels like a bank, but secure as cash** \
COCA is built so your money ultimately lives in a **wallet you control** (self-custodial – same as cash), not on a bank’s balance sheet. You spend and earn from this wallet and the money always stays with you.

**A card you can use everywhere**\
Your COCA card lets you spend money **anywhere Visa is accepted** – online, in-store, and for subscriptions. Top up via an IBAN in EUR or USD (just like a normal bank transfer), from other card or via stablecoins. We handle everything in the background.

**Highest cashback on real spending**\
Use COCA as your main card and get up to **8% cashback** on everyday spending and up to **50% back on subscriptions**, depending on your tier and region. Your normal lifestyle – groceries, rides, Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT – can start paying you back.

**Passive earnings on your card balance, with no lockups**\
Your balance can earn up to **5%** **interest** while it’s just sitting there, and it’s still **fully accessible** – no lockups. Earn on your money by just holding it in COCA and spend whenever you need it.

**Travel with COCA**\
Use COCA Travel to book flights and hotels. Get exclusive prices and exceptional **discounts of up to 65%.**

# Why are rewards so high?

People usually ask:

> ***“How can COCA offer high cashback and APY when banks don’t?”***

Short answer: **because COCA is not a traditional bank.**

When banks earn revenue from card activity or FX, a lot of it gets eaten by the cost of running the institution. That’s why, for many banks, rewards are either minimal, full of exclusions, or funded in a way that’s hard to sustain long-term.

We don’t run a branch network, we don’t rely on legacy rails for everything thus we can share more of the value created by payments and stablecoin infrastructure back to users.

### COCA uses more efficient infrastructure

COCA is designed around **stablecoins and blockchain infrastructure**, which is cheaper than traditional setups:

* Settlement and transfers are handled with fewer layers
* Operations are automated and standardized
* The system runs globally without a local banking

That doesn’t mean there are *no* costs – there are still payment partners, card rails, compliance, support, and risk management – but the model is more efficient. And since operating costs are lower, COCA allocates a larger portion of value back to users instead of burning it on fees and overhead.

### Merchant-funded cashback adds a second engine for rewards

COCA works with a growing network of merchants who **fund offers** to attract customers. Here is how that typically works in practice:

* A merchant wants more sales or customers
* They allocate a **marketing budget** to offer rewards (cashback, discounts, special offers)
* When users shop through COCA (or pay with COCA in qualifying ways), the merchant-funded reward gets triggered
* That reward is then paid out to the user (often alongside COCA’s base rewards, depending on the program)

Rewards are not only “COCA paying from its own pocket” but come from the brands and businesses that benefit directly from the transactions.

### Earnings come from real activity in DeFi

COCA offers earnings on card idle balance. It is earned by putting stablecoins to work in decentralized finance (DeFi), where people and businesses borrow, lend, and use stablecoins every day.

Because these systems run automatically and without traditional intermediaries, they can generate higher returns than classic savings accounts. The interest comes from real usage, not from COCA subsidizing rewards.

APY levels are based on what these markets actually generate and are adjusted to stay sustainable over time.

### Is this sustainable?

We combine three drivers:

* **Lower operating costs** (more efficient infrastructure)
* **Additional cashback from merchants** (funded by marketing budgets)
* **Earnings generated from real DeFi activity** (money are put to work in global, automated markets)

### Summary

COCA rewards can be high because they’re powered by a modern stablecoin + payments model, not old-school banking. They’re driven by **efficient infrastructure,** **merchant-funded cashback and zero-trust DeFi protocols**, which creates more room to offer strong, competitive rewards while keeping funds accessible.

# Where is my money stored and who controls it?

Traditional finance apps store your money in accounts they control and show you a balance in their system. COCA is built differently – you own your money.

### Your money stays in the wallet you control

In COCA your 'Banking Account' is actually a blockchain **smart wallet** that you control. COCA provides the **bank-like interface** (app, card, support, compliance rails), but the funds are not under our control.

Think of it as:

* **Bank app experience**
* **Cash-style ownership**

#### What “smart wallet” means (without the crypto headache)?

COCA uses **smart contract wallets** (EIR-4437, [EIP-7702)](https://eip7702.io/) and this is what makes COCA feel like a normal bank:

* All your funds are stored on the blockchain and controlled by you
* You have safer sign-in and recovery flows without a seed phrase
* You set rules (limits, permissions, spending controls)
* The wallet approves actions in a user-friendly way without you doing “crypto steps” every time

It’s the tech that makes blockchain adoption possible.

### How payments work with COCA card?

When you pay with the COCA card, the merchant requests an **authorization** (e.g., €42.70). COCA’s system is designed so that:

1. A card authorization happens (like any card)
2. Your smart contract wallet **approves that specific amount** for that specific payment
3. Only the authorized amount is moved for settlement – not your whole balance

So instead of “COCA can access everything”, it works like this:

> Pay this merchant, this amount, right now – and nothing else.

You are also protected by:

* Daily/weekly spending limits
* Merchant or subscription permissions
* Instant freeze controls

This is how COCA creates a Self-Banking experience: it feels like a bank while treating your money like it belongs to **you**, not to COCA.

# Is COCA safe?

### Secure as cash

COCA is built with the idea that users should have ultimately control over their funds as if it was cash in their pocket. For the wallet experience, we use **Privy** as part of the wallet infrastructure (non-custodial wallet / authentication layer) to make COCA feel like a normal banking app – without the need to know anything about crypto or blockchain.

What this means in practice:

* Your funds live in **your wallet**, not in COCA or third party-owned wallet
* The card/payment system is designed to request **permissioned, specific amounts** for purchases (authorization-based) rather than having full access to your balance

> [**Privy**](https://www.privy.io/), is a wallet provider built for production security. Privy performs regular third-party security audits across infrastructure and cryptography, and documents multiple independent audits by firms including **Cure53, Zellic, and Doyensec**, alongside a **bug bounty program**. Privy also states it is **SOC 2 Type I and Type II certified**.

#### What "Self-banking” means?

Self-banking means that COCA:

* Cannot move your money on its own
* Cannot see or control your full balance
* Cannot freeze or take custody of your funds

You approve what happens with your money, just like handing over cash when you make a payment. This is why we call this self-banking – your control your own money, you are the bank.

#### Where is my seed phrase with Privy?

When using COCA with Privy, you don’t see or manage a traditional seed phrase. This is intentional and designed for traditional-style usability.

#### How it works?

* Your wallet does have cryptographic keys (like any other blockchain solution)
* Those keys are not shown as a seed phrase
* You are not asked to write down or store a recovery phrase

Instead, Privy uses a secure, non-custodial key management system that lets you access your wallet through familiar methods like email, social login, or device-based authentication.

You still own the wallet and the funds, but you don’t have to handle a seed phrase manually.

#### Does this mean Privy controls my wallet?

No.

* Privy does not have custody of your funds
* COCA cannot move your money
* All wallet actions require your authorization

Privy’s role is to securely help create, store, and use your wallet keys in a distributed way without exposing them to you, to COCA or Privy itself.

#### Can I export my private keys?

Yes. You can export your private keys when using COCA. Right now export procedure is irreversible and you will no longer able to use this private key and wallet in COCA.

### APY security (Morpho + Gauntlet)

When COCA offers APY, the yield is generated by allocating the funds to established on-chain lending markets. A core route we expect to use is **Morpho**, where deposits can be managed through vault-style strategies with explicit risk controls. Morpho publishes a dedicated **risk & security** section for Morpho and Morpho Vaults, outlining the key categories of risk users should understand.

> **Why** [**Morpho**](https://morpho.org/) **is considered a security-first building block**
>
> * [**Audited codebase**](https://docs.morpho.org/get-started/resources/audits/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)**:** Morpho publishes a list of security reviews/audits for key components (including reviews by firms such as OpenZeppelin and Spearbit across different Morpho modules).
> * **Vault risk controls:** The [MetaMorpho vault](https://github.com/morpho-org/metamorpho?utm_source=chatgpt.com) design includes role separation and market-level controls like supply caps to limit exposure per market.

**Why Gauntlet strengthens the APY setup**\
[Gauntlet](https://www.gauntlet.xyz/) is a well-known DeFi risk management and research firm and is active in the Morpho ecosystem as a **risk-first vault curator**, focusing on vault composition, market selection, allocation, caps, and ongoing monitoring.

In practice, this means COCA can rely on:

* **Curated allocations** rather than “dump everything into one market”
* **Risk limits and rebalancing** designed to target better risk-adjusted returns
* **A methodology that prioritizes risk management**, not just "Higher APY"

COCA security is designed so you keep control of your funds while still enjoying a bank-simple experience.

***

No financial product is “risk-free” – not banks, not stablecoins, not COCA. We designed COCA in a way you get **strong control, clear transparency, and layered security**.

# Overview

With COCA you don’t need to become “crypto expert” if you just want to buy a few well-known coins, keep them somewhere safe, and check in once in a while. That’s exactly what the COCA **Crypto Account** is for.

### Your coins are designed to be yours

Crypto account belongs to you and is under your control:

* Your funds are meant to live **in your own wallet**, not in a COCA-owned pool
* COCA is the app that makes it easy to use, but ownership stays with you

So it feels like a bank, but behaves more like cash: **it’s yours**.

### One app, one money story

# Buy Crypto

Buy Crypto with Zero COCA Fees – purchase crypto in **150+ countries**, including all 50 US states and DC, with support for 55+ crypto assets (and counting).

Pay with major fiat currencies like USD, EUR, GBP, or 39 others. Supported payment methods include:

* **Global**: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay.

# Membership you deserve

COCA tiers are meant to feel like a **membership**. You pick the level that fits your life, and COCA simply pays you back more for using it.

Each tier improves four things people care about: **cashback**, **APY on your balance**, **subscription rebates**, and **perks/support**.

| Tier          | $COCA Staked | Cashback                        | Card Balance APY                    | Subscriptions included | Support  |

# 8% Cashback

### How COCA cashback works?

When you pay with your COCA card – online or in-store – COCA tracks the purchase and calculates your cashback based on your **membership tier**.

No points. Real money. No confusing redemption process. You don’t need to pre-select categories or activate offers. You just pay as usual, and cashback is added automatically.

Cashback is designed to feel like:

* **instant** (you see it tracked)
* **monthly simplicity** (it settles each month)

### Tier-based cashback

COCA cashback is tied to your tier, so you can choose how more you want to get.

Here’s the simple story:

* **Starter:** 1% unlimited
* **Standard:** 3% on your first $1,000/month, then 1% unlimited
* **Standard+:** 4% on your first $1,750/month, then 1% unlimited
* **Premium:** 5% on your first $2,500/month, then 1% unlimited
* **Premium+:** 6% on your first $5,000/month, then 1% unlimited
* **Elite:** 8% on your first $10,000/month, then 1% unlimited

#### Subscription cashback. The one people love 😍

Subscriptions are the easiest money leak in modern life. They’re small, recurring, and they add up. COCA flips the script by offering **50% cashback on subscriptions**, covering popular services like Streaming, AI Assistants, Music, Market Places.

Depending on your tier, you’ll see which subscriptions you qualify for. Learn more: [**50%-off subscriptions**](/coca/membership-and-rewards/50-off-subscriptions)

The experience is meant to be simple:

> Pay your subscription normally with your COCA card → COCA rebates half.

### Why COCA can offer high cashback?

Banks usually keep most of the value in the card payment flow. COCA is built different.

COCA’s infrastructure and operating model are designed to be more efficient than traditional banking, which creates more room to reward users instead of absorbing value in overhead.

Learn more: [Why are rewards so high?](/coca/the-bank-we-all-deserve/why-are-rewards-so-high)

### The mindset: don’t “spend more,” just “earn more”

COCA isn’t trying to push you into spending. It’s trying to make the money you already spend – work harder.

The best COCA users don’t change their behavior much. They just:

* make COCA their default card
* route subscriptions through COCA
* choose a tier that fits their spending and balance

And then they get paid back for it.

***

Cashback is the easiest way to experience what COCA is about:

**Bank-simple payments + real rewards**

You live your life. You tap your card. COCA does the rest.

# 50%-off subscriptions

COCA helps you save on the subscriptions you already use. Depending on your tier, you can get **50% cashback on selected subscriptions**, applied automatically when you pay with your COCA Card.

Each tier includes a set number of subscriptions eligible for cashback. You simply choose which subscriptions you want to apply the benefit to, and COCA takes care of the rest.

Eligible subscriptions are grouped into familiar categories such as **Streaming**, **AI Assistants**, **Music**, and **Marketplaces**. As you move up tiers, you unlock more categories and can apply the benefit to more subscriptions.

There’s no need to change how you pay or manage your subscriptions. Just use your COCA Card, and **50% of the subscription cost is returned to you** according to your tier limits.

This benefit is designed to make everyday digital services more affordable, without adding complexity.

# 5% Balance APY

Most other banks make you choose: **either your money works, or your money is available.**\
COCA’s Banking Account is built to remove that trade-off.

With COCA, your balance can earn **APY while staying fully usable –** meaning you can still pay with your card, withdraw, or move funds whenever you want.

No staking. No lockups. No “come back in 30 days.”

### What “Balance APY” means at COCA?

Balance APY (Annual Percentage Yield) is simply **interest on your Banking Account balance**.

If you keep money in COCA for daily life – salary, savings, travel budget, emergency buffer – COCA is designed to **pay you for holding it**, not just for spending it.

You’ll see:

* your current APY
* how much you’ve earned
* and how it’s calculated

### The most important part: your money stays available

This is the feature. Even while earning APY, your money remains:

* **spendable** – card payments work normally
* **withdrawable** – move it out when you want
* **flexible** – top up, transfer, or convert without being “locked”

So you’re not putting your life on hold to earn yield. Your balance stays your balance.

### Why this is different from 'earning' products?

A lot of apps advertise high APY, but it’s actually a lockup with rules:

* funds can’t be used while earning
* withdrawals take time
* rates change after you lock
* you lose flexibility exactly when you need it most

COCA’s Money Account APY is meant to feel like a real financial product:

> “My money earns by default, and I can still use it whenever I need.”

### Who it’s for?

Balance APY is perfect if you:

* keep a monthly buffer for bills and expenses
* travel and want your travel balance working in the background
* hold EUR/USD in COCA and want a reason to keep it there
* hate lockups but still want yield

It’s “earn mode” for normal people.

# Token designed to work

COCA token is like a **membership key** which does give you utility inside the COCA ecosystem. It is built around a simple idea:

> People should buy and hold a token because it’s useful – not because they’re trying to flip it.

That’s what we mean by **“Only Up!” tokenomics** introduced in August 2025 which started a new era for COCA token.

Not a price promise. Not a meme. A philosophy: design the token so the natural, default behavior is locking it for real benefits. This reduces short-term sell pressure and aligns the community around long-term usage.

{% hint style="warning" %}
To further commit to follow the “Only Up!” philosophy, **COCA freezes all new token distributions till December 1, 2026** with an opportunity to introduce additional locks based on voting.

{% endhint %}

### Why “Only Up!” is different?

Most token models have a built-in problem:

* tokens get distributed
* incentives encourage people to earn them
* and then those tokens get sold because there’s nothing meaningful to do with them besides sell.

COCA aims to invert that. With COCA, the token’s primary purpose is **utility that gets better when you commit**:

* Want higher cashback?
* Want better balance APY caps?
* Want subscription rebates?
* Want stronger support and perks?
* Want a bigger voice in decisions?

You don’t 'farm' your way there. You **lock COCA** to access your tier and keep it as long as you want the benefits.

That’s the “Only Up!” mindset:

> **Use → Commit → Unlock → Stay.**

### Why staking exists?

In COCA, staking is meant to be closer to:

> **“Lock tokens to hold a membership level.”**

You’re not lending your tokens out for yield. You’re simply committing them to your tier so the system can reward long-term users more than short-term “drive-by” users.

### Utility by design. Value by use

COCA is designed first and foremost as a **utility token**. Its primary purpose is functional: users lock COCA to unlock tiers, access features, and participate in governance.

At the same time, we are realistic about how ecosystems grow. Many participants will naturally view COCA as a **long-term value position** – a way to gain exposure to an ecosystem they believe in and want to be part of over time.

COCA is built so that its utility stands on its own, even if you ignore the price chart.\
But as the adoption increases and real usage expands, long-term value increase becomes a natural outcome of genuine utility. That’s the “Only Up!” philosophy in practice:

> The token’s main job is utility – and that utility can create long-term holding behavior.

**Important:** COCA is not promising price growth, and this isn’t financial advice. Token prices can go up or down, and you should only buy COCA if you want its **membership + voting utility** and understand the risks.

# Token allocations

The OnlyUp! tokenomics is designed to create a balanced, transparent, and sustainable ecosystem that supports long-term growth while protecting COCA users.

Token allocation is carefully structured across core areas ensuring that every part of the ecosystem maintains stability, reduce the risk of sudden market disruptions, and ensures that the token plays a meaningful role in supporting innovation, COCA development, and ecosystem growth.

# No new tokens until Dec 1, 2026

## Emission paused until Dec 1, 2026

To reinforce the “Only Up!” philosophy, COCA **pause all new token distributions** until **December 1, 2026**.

COCA will not launch new programs that put additional COCA tokens into circulation during that period. The goal is to keep token supply changes predictable and avoid adding extra selling pressure while the product and ecosystem continue to grow.

COCA can add extra lockups later. Any change like that would be decided by a community vote, not by the team alone.

## Industry-Leading Long-Term Commitment

COCA implements **one of the longest and most conservative token lock-up structures** in the market**.** Core allocations are locked for multiple years and vested over up to **six years**, far exceeding standard industry timelines.

**The team receives no tokens at launch** and cannot completely benefit from their allocation for **10 years** (vesting ends in December 2034), ensuring that value creation, not speculation, is the only path to reward.

**This long-term locking model is a deliberate choice:** to protect holders, strengthen trust, and signal that COCA is not built for hype cycles – but for sustained growth and real adoption.
